Integral University is situated in Lucknow, a city known for its culture, etiquette, monuments, and pivotal role in the freedom struggle. Lucknow is the capital city of the largest state of India, Uttar Pradesh, with a population of about 4.6 million. It has always been a multicultural city, and Integral University reflects this spirit through a unique culture of inclusiveness, diversity, personal and intellectual integrity, and value-based education.

The University was established under Act Number 9 of 2004 by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh. It is duly approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under sections 2(f) and 12B of the UGC Act, 1956. Its programmes are further recognised by the National Medical Commission, Pharmacy Council of India, Indian Nursing Council, Council of Architecture, Bar Council of India, Indian Association of Physiotherapists, National Council for Teacher Education, UP State Medical Faculty, and the Distance Education Bureau. The University is a proud member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
In a landmark recognition, Integral University is recognised as a Scientific & Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India — a testament to the quality and impact of research activities conducted here.
The university was awarded an A+ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in May 2023 — one of the highest grades achievable in Indian higher education. In the recent past, the University has been a recipient of several prestigious awards in the education sector.
The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) — the most prestigious ranking system by the Government of India — has ranked Integral University as a leading institution in Pharmacy from 2017 to 2024 consecutively, an unbroken streak of eight years reflecting sustained excellence.
The University maintains a decent and decorous atmosphere across its campus. It is highly disciplined and ragging-free, with all modern amenities for the pursuit of higher education and sports. The campus provides state-of-the-art hostel accommodation with the capacity to host 2,600 students, making it one of the most comprehensively equipped residential universities in the region.
The campus also houses an 800+ bedded hospital as part of its Medical College, offering state-of-the-art medical facilities staffed by more than 200 doctors. This unique feature allows medical and allied health students hands-on exposure within the campus itself, while serving the broader community of Lucknow.
